    • REMI TranSight: Understanding the Economic, Demographic and Fiscal Implications of Policy Decisions

This is a comprehensive introduction to the REMI transportation model, TranSight. Built on over 30 years of economic modeling experience, TranSight is the leading tool for evaluating the total economic effects of transportation improvements. It integrates travel demand data, emissions data, safety valuation factors, travel time and three additional transportation-related cost matrices.

    • Transportation and Livability

This presentation explores the technical capabilities of TranSight to address the economic impacts of our nation’s long-term transit goals. We will focus on project evaluation at the regional level based on long-term return and job creation given regional differences.

  • Guest Speaker: Dr. Stan McMillen, Managing Economist for the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, will discuss his work regarding the economics of transportation investments in Connecticut.

At REMI, our goal is to improve public policy. The information presented at this seminar will enable you to make more detailed and efficient forecasts about the economic effects of policy changes.
